Purpose of This Site

This site gathers information on unregistered financial firms and administrative actions published by Japan's Financial Services Agency and Local Finance Bureaus, together with generalized patterns of solicitation tactics and related terminology. It does not offer a definitive assessment of any specific individual or organization, nor does it recommend or solicit the purchase or sale of any investment product. Its purpose is to help investors notice suspicious solicitations themselves and avoid becoming victims.

Editorial Policy

• Cases listed on the "Registered Firms" and "Unregistered Firms" pages are collected mechanically and comprehensively from public authority disclosures, without arbitrary selection of only favorable cases. Inclusion and exclusion criteria are stated on each listing page.
• The primary sources we reference (Local Finance Bureaus, the Financial Services Agency, etc.) are listed on our Data Sources page.
• Articles based on community accounts (the Solicitation Tactic Catalog) never identify any specific real firm or individual; they are anonymized and generalized as patterns of tactics.
